About Rhonda
My name is Rhonda DiGenova. Even though I never had formal theological training and came from a very broken background, God has used me to minister to women for over 25 years. Although my husband and I share a different faith, we have been married over 36 years, and our two adult children, with their spouses, are actively involved in ministry and have so far given us three beautiful grandchildren. As someone who must manage her own mental health and addictions, it never struck me in the early years that God would want to – or could – use me for anything useful. But, as He has been known to do throughout Scripture, He does.
About G.L.O.W.
Many years ago I began leading a Bible study group with an identity crisis. Every time our small band of ladies was introduced in the larger women’s ministry group it was called, “Rhonda’s Group”, which we weren’t. We were just a few ladies who liked to study God’s Word. I asked God to give me a name we could use instead of “Rhonda’s Group,” and that’s when God’s Ladies Of the Word – GLOW was born. As He continued to refine my vision for GLOW, He gave me a visual picture of what He was doing.
The desktop water fountain you see in the picture is significant. The upper jug pouring into the broken one represents Jesus, our Living Water. When we, the broken jug, are bent in a posture of worship, broken as we are, Jesus will pour into us. His life then flows through us to those around us ( the third jug) until it spills out into places we can’t imagine.
We all have a common purpose from God… to cooperate with Him in bringing a lost world back to Him. We also each have a unique purpose, or a specific way God intends to use us to achieve His purpose. God showed me that His plan for me is to equip women to be light in a dark world through the transforming power of God’s Word, which is ultimately the big picture of GLOW. My unique purpose has framed and informed every major life decision and crossroads in my life. Now, GLOW is coming to life as this gathering place for those who are looking for a place to be real, seek Truth, find their unique purpose, hope and encouragement to shine in the world that surrounds us. I can’t wait to see what God does now that He’s allowed our unique purposes to cross paths!
